Backups that last forever and survive ransomware.

EverBack keeps every version of every file. Go back five years to a specific day if you need to. If ransomware hits, one button brings everything back in minutes.

Offsite, immutable, encrypted, EU-stored. If you are holding a cyber-insurance renewal form or a customer questionnaire, those are the boxes it is asking about. The line-by-line answers →

What EverBack does

It copies your files every hour. It never deletes a copy.

That is the whole product. You never run a backup by hand and you never clean one up.

01

Backs up every hour, on its own.

Invoices, contracts, photos, databases. If a file changed, the next copy has it.

02

Keeps every version, forever.

Pick any day from any year and see your files exactly as they were. Deleted three years ago is not gone.

03

Backups are written once. Never modified, never deleted.

Your computer cannot change a backup after it is made. Neither can ransomware running on it.

History that doesn’t expire

The contract you deleted in 2023 is still here.

Most products keep 30 days and quietly delete the rest. We keep every day, for as long as you are a customer. Why we built it this way →

Your business history keeps going. Long-term history included
keeps going

Frequent copies while your work is fresh. Then a daily history that stays. The contract you deleted years ago can still have a way back.

The protected computer cannot rewrite this copy.
Why this matters If ransomware controls a computer, it should not control the recovery copy too.
Ransomware-resistant by design

The backup should not live under the same threat as the computer.

Every night, one copy is sealed. Your computer can read it and restore from it, but it cannot change it. A compromised machine cannot compromise the sealed copy. How the Vault works →

Why we are building this now

Two backup companies failed their customers this year.

Not hypothetical, not marketing. Both were found out by customers rather than disclosed by the vendor. This is the entire reason EverBack exists, and the reason our security page lists what we have not built.

Apr

Backing up nothing, reporting success.

A large consumer backup provider was found silently skipping files while its app showed a green tick. People discovered it when they tried to restore. A backup you cannot verify is a rumour.

Aug

A lost storage node took the “immutable” copies with it.

A managed backup platform lost a storage node this month. Customer backup data went with it, including copies its own marketing called immutable, because those copies lived on the same system as the originals.

So

We tell you where our copies live.

Our Vault defeats a compromised computer, which is the attack that actually happens. It does not yet defeat a provider losing your data, because it sits on the same storage. We are fixing that, and we say it here rather than after you have paid.

How it works

Serious recovery without a backup project.

EverBack is designed for small businesses that want the protection without becoming backup experts. The full walkthrough →

01

Install EverBack.

Three clicks: download, open, choose what to protect. The first backup starts immediately.

02

Let it work quietly.

Changes are protected throughout the day, while long-term history and nightly protected copies build automatically.

03

Go back when you need to.

Pick a day, browse your folders as they were, and bring back a file or all of them. It takes a minute and nobody needs to call IT.

Recovery you can verify

“Backup completed” is not the same as “we can get it back.”

So don't take our word for it. Your backups are a standard open-source restic repository. With your key you can list them, verify them and restore them using stock tooling on any machine, with no EverBack software involved. That is not a promise about us. It is a property of the format. Support from people who understand the product.

EverBack is a small company. When you email us, the reply comes from someone who wrote the code, usually the same day. That will not scale forever and we are not pretending it is a call centre. Right now it is the best support you can get.

The people who built it, on email.
Compliance & governance

Recovery controls you can explain, test and document.

EverBack supports practical backup and recovery controls that businesses increasingly need to demonstrate to customers, auditors and regulators.

Encryption

Backups are locked on your computer before upload, with a key only you hold. Nobody else can open them. Not the storage provider. Not us.

GDPR

Supports measures for restoring access to business data after a physical or technical incident and for testing recovery processes.

NIS2

Supports backup management, business continuity and disaster-recovery practices for organizations within scope.

EU storage

Copies are stored in the European Union, in Germany and Finland. There is no US region yet. If you need one, ask before you buy.

Open format

Backups are a standard restic repository. Your auditor can verify recoverability without taking our word for anything, and without our software.

EverBack supports individual technical and organizational controls. Compliance depends on your organization, sector and complete set of measures. The full inventory →
